This policy covers the DrawingFox browser extension (“PDF to DWG, PDF to DXF Converter”) and this website.
The short version
Your drawings are never uploaded. The PDF you pick is read, converted and written back out as DXF entirely inside your browser tab. There is no server in the conversion path.
What does leave your browser is your account identity and a count of how many conversions you have run — that is how your daily allowance and your purchase are recognised.
What we collect
| What | Why we need it | When |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and basic profile from your Google account | To create and recognise your account. Sign-in is required before the converter opens. | When you sign in |
An installation identifier (install_id) | To tell one install from another, and to attribute an install to the sign-up that followed it | On install |
| A browser fingerprint | An auxiliary signal used together with the installation identifier to spot abuse of the free tier | With requests to our backend |
| A count of successful conversions | To enforce the free daily allowance and to know whether a purchase has unlocked it | Each time a conversion succeeds |
| Basic request data (IP address, timestamp, user agent) | Standard server logs, needed to operate and secure the service | Each request to our backend |
What we do not collect
- The contents of your PDF, and the DXF produced from it. They stay on your computer. Our servers never receive them, so we could not read them even if asked.
- The names of your files. The conversion count records that a conversion happened — not what it was.
- Your browsing history, the pages you visit, or anything on other websites. The extension has no content scripts and requests no access to any website other than our own backend.
- Payment card details. Payments are handled by Stripe; card data goes to Stripe directly and never reaches us.
Who else sees it
- Google — only for sign-in. We request the basic scopes
openid, emailandprofile. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, or any other Google service. - Stripe — payment processing.
- Cloudflare — sits in front of our backend as a network provider.
We do not sell your data, do not share it with advertisers, and do not use it for anything other than the purposes listed above.
How long we keep it
- Account data: for as long as your account exists.
- Conversion counts and server logs: up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account data and the identifiers tied to it. Aggregate counts that can no longer be linked back to you may remain.
Your choices
- Sign out from the extension at any time. Signing out revokes the session on our side as well, not just locally.
- Ask for a copy or a deletion of your data by writing to the address below. If you are in the EEA or the UK, this includes your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR.
- Uninstall the extension to stop all data collection.
This website
This site is static: it sets no cookies, loads no analytics or tag manager, and runs no third-party scripts. You can confirm that in the network panel of your browser — the requests are for this page, one stylesheet and the images on it, and nothing else. The pages are served from Cloudflare Pages, so Cloudflare handles the request the way any host handles a request for a page. If we ever add analytics, this section changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
Children
The extension is a professional drawing tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or why, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, say so in the extension.
